* To be eligible for the Emerging Business Discount, your business must meet the following criteria: 

• Your ABN was registered within the past 12 months AND 

• You are outsourcing less than $50,000 worth of manufacturing to contractors (including homeworkers) AND/OR 

• You employ fewer than 10 in-house staff 

Outsourcing accreditation fees start at $515 + GST for businesses outsourcing up to $25,000 worth of manufacturing annually to Australian suppliers. Fees increase based on the total annual value of your outsourced cut, make, trim, and value-adding work, ensuring they reflect the size and scope of your local supply chain. 

In-house accreditation fees start at $515 + GST for businesses with up to 10 employees working across areas such as design, pattern making, cut, make, trim, and dispatch. Fees are based on the total number of in-house employees across all business locations and reflect the scale of your local operations. 

If your business includes both outsourced and in-house operations, your accreditation fee will be a combination of both. The total fee is based on the size and structure of your local manufacturing. 

To calculate your fee, we’ll identify your primary form of manufacturing (whichever category attracts the higher fee), then add 25% of the fee for your secondary form. 

For example: If your outsourcing value is $60,000 (fee: $1,279 + GST) and you have 8 in-house employees (fee: $515 + GST), your total fee would be $1,279 + 25% of $515 = $1,407.75 + GST.

Businesses that have consistently used the Ethical Clothing Australia certification trade mark on their Australian-made products for the past 12 months are eligible for a discounted accreditation fee. 

A 5% marketing and administration fee applies for each additional trading name under the same ABN, or for multiple website listings under the same trading name.
